| The volunteer library is funded by donations from
civic and church groups and of course, private donations by
caring, community-spirited citizens. In-kind services are also
commonly donated, such as licensed electrician services,
professional cleaners, etc. Staffing for the library is also done
by volunteers. Hazel McKim, an experienced librarian with the
Shasta County Library for 22 years, organizes the volunteers into
various shifts so the library can maintain regular hours. |
